Community Play Area Improvement Plan
Stoke Holy Cross Parish Council is applying for funding through the Hornsea Project Three Community Grant, a scheme funded by Ørsted to support local projects that enhance community wellbeing, sustainability, and access to outdoor space. This funding gives us the opportunity to completely transform our local play areas, especially the fenced playground, into safe, inclusive and environmentally responsible spaces.
The Fenced Playground (Project 1) – some elements are in need of replacements/repairs, worn-out surfaces, requiring new pieces and eventually a full replacement that focus on sustainable design, natural play, and accessibility for all children.
The Skate Park (Project 2) – now in a poor and rusty condition, needing refurbishment or replacement to make it safe and appealing again for a wider range of users.
The Bike Loop (Project 3) – currently a basic track, with potential to be upgraded.
